Join our
builder pool

One pool, every discipline and level. We find the clients and scope the work. You take the builds that fit your week, and deliver them in the client's own cloud.

How it works

Four steps to your first build.

  1. 01

Apply to join the builder pool

One application, one technical screen and a portfolio review. Your rate band is set from your experience, and you can move up later.

  2. 02

Say how much you can take on

Ten hours a week or forty. You are only offered work that fits the capacity you set, so nothing collides with your own clients.

  3. 03

    Accept the builds you want

You see the scope, the start date, the squad and your rate before you say yes. Decline as often as you like.

  4. 04

Build on AlisX, log hours, get paid

Every build runs on the AlisX platform, in the client's own cloud. Your time is metered on the platform and you invoice for the hours you log.

No bench, no exclusivity. Keep your own clients, take the builds you want and decline the ones you do not.

The platform you build on

Every build happens on AlisX.

This is not optional. If you join the pool, you deliver on the AlisX platform — alisx.com. Alis Ideate runs the discovery, and Alis Build gives you a ring-fenced environment inside the client's own Google Cloud project, under their IAM, with Git, CI/CD, registries and infrastructure as code already set up.

You work in the client's cloud, not on your laptop.

Code and credentials stay inside the client's own project. There is nothing to set up at the start and nothing to hand over at the end, which is most of what usually goes wrong on a freelance engagement.

New to AlisX? That is fine.

We onboard you onto the platform before your first paid build. Tell us where you stand in the application and we will take it from there.

Bring the agent you already use.

Claude, Copilot, Codex, Cursor — keep the tools you like. You ship through the same define, build and deploy pipeline as everyone else on the engagement, and the skills in the AlisX ecosystem carry the standards, so your hours go on the product rather than on setup.

The terms

Three things worth knowing before you apply.

  • Hours, not headcountEveryone bills by the metered hour, logged on the platform.
  • Move up a rate bandTwo shipped builds and a good review moves you to the next rate band.
  • Squads, not solo gigsYou are always placed alongside a project manager and a senior reviewer.

Scoped before you start. Reviewed while you work. Signed off when it is done.

Apply to join the builder pool.

One form, about six minutes. Tell us what you build, how much you can take on and where you are with AlisX. Applications are reviewed weekly, and we will say plainly if there is nothing on that fits what you do.
